Lloyd Smith is located in Nashville, TN and is the Technical Director of Infinity Hospitality Group that owns and manages multiple entertainment facilities in the city including one of the most distinguished music venues in the southeastern United States, 12th & Porter. He also provides Live Sound Recording Services, Studio Recording and Pro mixing for both established and aspiring musicians.

Background

Lloyd began working in the professional sound field with an internship at the Studios at Linden Oaks in Rochester, New York. While earning his Bachelor of Science degree in Music Industry at The College of Saint Rose in Albany, New York, he continued to gain audio engineering experience in the classroom in addition to working live sound at the the college's Massry Center for the Arts.  During this time he worked live sound crew for various artists inluding: B. B. King, The Diva Jazz Ensemble and other unsigned local bands.

His college internship provided a rare opportunity to work as the personal assistant to legendary producer/engineer Malcolm Cecil (Producer for Stevie Wonder, Gil Scott-Heron).  Lloyd's PA responsibilities included: studio work, scheduling, live sound engineering, and business planning.

Post graduation, Lloyd worked for Stellar Sound in Rochester, NY as a live sound engineer at various festivals, performances and at corporate events.  He also worked as a house sound engineer at two Rochester night spots: Sticky Lips Juke Joint and Nashville's Tavern.

Lloyd worked as a Senior Department Manager, Pro Audio at Sam Ash Music in Nashville. He went on to work as house sound engineer at 12th & Porter and ultimately as Technical Director for the parent company, Infinity Hospitality Group.
